2. TDM OVERVIEW
Time Division Multiplexing (TDM) is the technology used to transmit several separate data, voice, and/or video sig-
nals at the same time over one communications path. The path is shared by several channels cyclically by letting each
channel use the path exlcusively for a short time slot.
3. TDM APPLICATION
Figure 2 shows a typical TDM application. The Total Access 600 connects to the Network to provide both voice and
high speed data from a single platform.
