Network State
This field displays the current network state of the T3SU 300.
Possible conditions are given in the following chart:
Alarm State
This field displays the current alarm condition of the T3SU 300.
Possible conditions are given in the following chart:
Condition Description
Normal The T3SU 300 is ready to pass data.
Alarm The unit is currently receiving an alarm indication. See
the
ALARM STATE field in this menu to determine the
alarm type.
In Test The unit is currently in test mode. The DIAGNOSTICS
menu provides information on test type.
Condition Description
Normal No alarms are currently being received.
Yellow The unit is transmitting a yellow alarm from the
network. This alarm is a signal sent back toward the
source of a failed transmit circuit. The X-bits (X1 and
X2) are set to zero.
LOS (Red Alarm) The unit has lost the Rx signal.
Blue (AIS) The unit is receiving a blue alarm condition from the
network. A blue alarm occurs when consecutive
1010s are received in the information bits. This
indicates that there is a transmission fault located
either at or upstream from the transmitting terminal.
OOF The unit detects an out of frame condition from the
network.
Idle The unit detects an idle sequence from the network.
Service is immediately available for use.
